Quote of a Story
In the quote: “If a story is not about the hearer he will not listen. And here i make a rule-a great and interesting story is about everyone or it will not last.” by John Steinbeck, means that nobody will be interested in a story unless it is about them. If a story can not relate to a person, it will be boring. For a story to be passed on, it must be one that is going to appeal to every sort of person. In this quote, it states that people are interested in stories about them. John Steinbeck speaks the truth about people and how they think. If people can not relate to a story, there is no use in them reading it. He also goes on to say that if stories are not interesting for readers, they will not get passed on or last. This quote is very true in many aspects of how humans think and their attitudes towards keeping traditions going.
